Legal documents

Privacy
policy.

We explain how we process the personal data of visitors to janswerk.com and of people who send enquiries through the quote form — in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data controller

The controller of your personal data is AMJ Services Sp. z o.o., registered at Ludwika Waryńskiego 2, 45-047 Opole, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 5932621039 (the “Controller”). The Controller operates the JansWerk brand and delivers bespoke furniture and architectural fit-out projects under that brand.

For any matter concerning data protection you can contact us by e-mail at: info@janswerk.com.

Scope of data and how we obtain it

We process personal data that you provide voluntarily — mainly through the quote form, but also in e-mail correspondence and during business conversations.

  • full name
  • e-mail address
  • phone number (optional)
  • company name (optional)
  • project information: project type, timeline, budget, description of your needs
  • the content of correspondence with the Controller

Technical data collected automatically

While you use the website, technical data is stored automatically: IP address, date and time of the enquiry, and basic information about your browser and device. We use this data solely for security purposes, to prevent abuse (for example spam submissions) and to limit the number of enquiries sent from a single address.

Purposes and legal bases of processing

  • preparing and presenting a quote and handling an enquiry sent through the form — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract)
  • performing the contract, delivery and installation, and after-sales support — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR
  • defending against and pursuing claims, ensuring website security and preventing abuse — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest)
  • keeping accounting and tax records — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation)
  • business contact and information about our offer, as well as analytics and non-essential cookies — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), which you may withdraw at any time

Recipients of the data

Data may be shared with companies that support us in running the website and handling enquiries. Each recipient processes data only to the extent necessary to perform the tasks entrusted to it, under a data processing agreement.

Some of these companies may process data outside the European Economic Area — in such cases the transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

  • hosting and website maintenance provider
  • e-mail and IT infrastructure provider
  • accounting office and legal services
  • cloud service and enquiry management tool providers
  • public authorities, where a legal obligation to disclose data applies

Retention periods

  • enquiries and correspondence that did not result in a contract — up to 12 months from the last contact
  • data related to contract performance — for the term of the contract and then until the limitation period for claims expires (as a rule 6 years)
  • accounting and tax documentation — 5 years from the end of the tax year
  • data processed on the basis of consent — until the consent is withdrawn
  • technical and security data — up to 12 months

Your rights

In connection with the processing of your data, you have the following rights:

  • the right to access your data and receive a copy of it
  • the right to rectify inaccurate data or complete incomplete data
  • the right to erasure where there is no basis for further processing
  • the right to restrict processing
  • the right to data portability
  • the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time — without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw

How to exercise your rights

To exercise the rights listed above, simply send a message to info@janswerk.com. We respond without undue delay and no later than one month from receiving your request. In justified cases this period may be extended, and we will inform you of that together with the reasons.

Cookies and analytics tools

The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are used for the website to work correctly, while analytics and third-party cookies are activated only after you give consent in the banner shown on your first visit.

A detailed description of the cookies we use, their purposes and retention periods is available in the Cookie policy.

Data security

Data sent through the form is encrypted (HTTPS connection). Only authorised employees and partners of the Controller, bound by confidentiality, have access to the data. We apply measures that protect the form against automated submissions and we regularly back up the data.

Changes to this privacy policy

We update this policy when the law, the tools we use or the way we process data change. The current version is always available on this page, and the date of the last update is shown in the document header.
